Past President of the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society

Tom and his brother run the family farming partnership over 2000 acres in the borders of Scotland. A mixed farming enterprise, alongside his commercial herd he has 120 Angus cows and a flock of Texel sheep. Haymount herd was started in 1932, now in its fourth generation of being managed by Arnotts. They have exported bulls in the 50’s and 60’s from Perth Bull Sales to several of the major beef producing continents.

Tom takes over as president of the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle society this year from David Evans. He is currently a director of the Royal Highland Agricultural Society of Scotland and is Chief Cattle Steward for the beef section. He is also past chairman of the Border Union Agricultural Society and Kelso branch of the NFU.

He is married to Wendy and their 2 sons, John and Jack manage the herd.
